HI everyone!
Today was our lucky day---we got to see the mighty Mount Denali in all it's glory. We were so excited when we drove up the park road toward Savage River and there she was--no clouds, clear as could be. Rene took lots of pictures. Only 20% of the people that come to Denali get to see the great mountain.
We also hiked into a canyon along the Savage River Trail. This was a cool hike that went back into the canyon about a couple of miles. We went off the trail a bit to climb up a ridge to see what was on the other side. The canyon went even farther back it was so beautiful. We took a picture for you to see.
The last thing we did before we left Denali was to check out the kennels of their dog sled team. We were able to pet them and see how they worked. The ranger gave us a talk about what their job is and then showed us how they pulled the sled. The dogs would get so excited when being put in the harnesses---they jumped high into the air with excitement. They were so fast!
We saw all the things we came to see in Denali---we were very LUCKY indeed.

Those are some cool pictures of your hike I can't wait to see them when you get back. You guys are really on an extrodinary trip and you are going to cap it off by seeing some iceburgs in the open ocean right?
Aunt Jeanne, I thought that was you behind the dog sled at first! I thought wow, I cant believe they let her drive and especially that fast!
