HI everyone!
Today Rene and I rode a bus through Denali National Park watching for wildlife and taking in the brilliant colors of the fall foliage.
The mountains had an array of color from reds, oranges and brillant yellows. They would spread like paint strokes on a canvas. It was so beautiful. The vistas along the way were breath-taking . We managed to see 7 moose (a couple of bulls, a mother and baby), 6 bears (some with mom and babies) lots of caribou in the valley and dall sheep up on the mountain sides. The funniest thing that happened to us was when we were on a trail and came upon an arctic squirrel who was not afraid of us at all and posed perfectly though he would only tolerate us for that minute and then began to bark at us as if to say, "ok, enough pictures get moving".
I did get a chance to try on a pair of caribou antlers----they were HEAVY!!! No wonder the keep their heads low to the ground.
Yesterday I didn't get to send pictures because the internet connection here was SLOW!! So I will add some from yesterday.
Have a great day! Until tomorrow.

hopefully you didn't just pick up the antlers off the side of the road!? They had to be on the bus or something right? I mean what moose would just leave his antleres lying around for some lucky tourist's photo op
